The Story of Vita Activa

From a Feminist Helpline to a Global Digital Care Infrastructure

Who cares for those who care for others?

Since 2019, we have supported journalists, activists, human rights defenders, women, and LGBTQ+ people facing online violence, burnout, and emotional crises.

It All Started with a Question

While many organizations focused on digital security or documenting violence, few addressed the emotional impact these experiences had on the people living through them.

Vita Activa was founded in 2019 to support women, LGBTQ+ people, journalists, activists, and human rights defenders facing online violence, stress, trauma, and burnout.
